- A GRANDFATHERS CLOCK -
The antique grandfather clock is an heirloom from Lindsey’s side of the family, and used to be owned by her Uncle from North Cave, who was a fanatical clock restorer and had filled the rooms of his house with beautiful casement clocks.
- THE SUNNY BAROMETER -
- A SAINTLY STAINED GLASS-
Andy chose the barometer as a sentimental keepsake when his grandfather Ted died. “He was a great inspiration but I liked this so much because it’s always stuck on sunny, and that is a great thing to remember” he said.
The stained glass window is probably the oldest feature of the house and defines its character. It was designed by Temple Moor, a local church architect, and depicts the four saints of England, Scotland, England and Wales – an unusual and prestigious feature to see in a secular home.
